Miss Brosnan was a lifelong resident of Hazelwood, at rest peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2016    Daughter of the late Timothy and Nellie Brosnan

Survived by cousins Mary Ellen Mulvihill of Pittsburgh and Ann Marie Clifford of Newton Center, MA

Lifelong member of St. Stephen Parish where she was involved in all activities including the Ladies of Charity, CCD Education and being a Mass Lector.  

 

Miss. Brosnan received her Master’s Degree in Education from Duquesne University.

She retired after 35 years service as Science Teacher from the Pittsburgh Public Schools and the Liberty Elementary School

A 30 year member of Alpha Delta Kappa, Received the Jefferson Award for Volunteerism at Oasis where she served as a Trainer of Volunteers, Miss Brosnan celebrated her Irish tradition with several trips to Ireland and membership to the Gaelic Arts Society and the Ladies Auxiliary of the AOH Division 11.  She will surely be missed by her extended family and all those who considered her a dear friend.

 

Visitation with the family Tuesday  6 to 8 Pm and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6-8 PM at the John D. O’Connor and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5106 Second Avenue, 15207, 412-521-8116  Patrick Vereb, Funeral Director

A Mass to celebrate her life will be at St. Stephen Parish Church Thursday morning at 10 AM.
